A bathroom is the smallest room in the house and the one most likely to be hiding something. Tile that was never sealed. A shower valve someone replaced with the wrong part. A subfloor quietly going soft under a toilet that has rocked for two years.
We remodel bathrooms across Winchester and Frederick County — full gut jobs down to a vanity and mirror swap. Same crew, start to finish. No handing you off to three subcontractors who each blame the last one.
Showers and tubs. Tub-to-shower conversions, new pans and surrounds, glass doors, valves and trim. If the old one leaked, we find out why before anything new goes in.
Tile. Floors, walls, niches, curbs. Laid on a properly prepped substrate with the waterproofing done underneath where you’ll never see it — which is exactly why it matters.
Vanities and counters. Stock, semi-custom or built to fit an odd wall. Tops, sinks, faucets, mirrors and the lighting above them.
Fixtures and lighting. Toilets, exhaust fans that actually move air, recessed and vanity lighting, GFCI outlets where code wants them.
The part behind the wall. Supply lines, drains, framing repairs, rotten subfloor. This is where bathroom projects go sideways, and it is why we open things up before quoting the finish work rather than after.
Accessibility. Grab bars into real blocking, comfort-height toilets, curbless showers, non-slip flooring. Done so it looks like part of the room, not like equipment.
A customer once called us to hang two ceiling fans. While we were there I pointed out the front door frame needed paint and warned him what happens if it doesn’t get done. A year later, a plumbing call — the frame was rotting by then, he still didn’t want it touched. Nine months after that, water in the basement: ceiling, wall, trim, carpet. $7,500 of damage from something a $200 repair would have stopped three years earlier, plus another $2,800 for the door and framing.
Bathrooms work the same way, only faster, because the water is already inside. A cracked grout line or a shower pan that was never right doesn’t announce itself. It shows up as a stain on the ceiling below.
